Dr. Mahvareh Akhgar-Araghi

Compassionate, skilled, and dedicated to children’s smiles. Dr. Mahvareh blends advanced pediatric expertise with gentle care for every stage of childhood.

Dr. Mahvareh is a compassionate and experienced general dentist whose practice is dedicated exclusively to pediatric care. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree with honors in 2000, and completed a three-year Master’s program in Pediatric Dentistry in 2003, obtaining first rank in National Pediatric Dentistry Board Examination, both in Iran. She provided comprehensive dental care for her patients from infancy through adolescence for a decade, and taught pediatric dentistry at dental school as a faculty member for three years, contributing to the education of future dental professionals.

Her passion to work for children with special needs led Dr. Mahvareh to further her education in the field of Hospital Dentistry, and she completed a six-month Certificate Course in “Sedation and Pain Management” at world-famous Eastman Dental Hospital, London, UK in 2006.

After relocating to Canada, Dr. Mahvareh successfully completed the National Dental Equivalency Process and has been licensed since 2016 as a general dentist with the practice limited to children. She has also received training in providing dental treatment under mild and moderate sedation (Nitrous Oxide and oral sedation) and works closely with medical and dental anesthesiology teams to treat children under general anesthesia when necessary.

With over two decades of experience in pediatric oral health, Dr. Mahvareh is known for her clinical expertise, and commitment to creating a positive and supportive dental experience for children and their families.
