A cracked tooth or sudden pain rarely waits for a free afternoon. We hold same-day spots for emergency dental care, so a problem during exam week gets handled fast.
Many students deal with crowded or stuck wisdom teeth in their late teens and early twenties. If yours cause pain or pressure, wisdom tooth removal prevents bigger problems with the teeth beside them.
Routine care keeps small problems from turning into big bills later. Our general dentistry handles the checkups and cleanings that most student-plan visits start with.
A chipped front tooth is a common result of sports or biting something hard. Dental bonding repairs it in a single visit and costs less than most other options.
When a tooth is too damaged for a filling, a dental crown covers and protects what is left. We often suggest one after a large cavity or a root canal.
For stains or gaps that bother you in photos, dental veneers reshape the front teeth with thin custom shells. It is a bigger commitment than whitening, so we walk through the upkeep and price first.
Our cosmetic dentistry covers small fixes like bonding and bigger changes like veneers. We go over the cost with you before any work begins.
Coffee and late nights leave their mark on tooth colour. Professional teeth whitening works faster than drugstore strips, and new patients get a free session with a full exam.
Most cavities we catch at a checkup need a simple filling, not a major procedure. Our tooth-coloured fillings blend in and are usually covered under student plans.
For a tooth lost to injury or decay, a dental implant replaces the root and the crown so the rest of your teeth stay in place. It takes a few months to finish. That suits students who can return between terms.
Deep pain or a dental abscess usually means the nerve is involved. A root canal clears the infection and saves the tooth, and we can often start the same day when you are in pain.
Crowded or crooked teeth are easier to correct than many students expect. We offer clear aligners and braces through our orthodontic care, and our payment options fit a student budget.

Most York University undergraduates are already covered for dental care through the YFS Health & Dental Plan. The plan is insured by Green Shield Canada (GSC), and the fee is added to your tuition each year, so you are enrolled the moment you register. That means everyday care like checkups and cleanings is often covered before you set foot in the office.
We bill Green Shield Canada directly for YFS plan members. You show your GSC member number at the front desk and we submit the claim for you, so most students pay little or nothing on the day of their visit.
Your YFS coverage stays active over the summer as long as you remain registered, which helps if a problem comes up between terms. Graduate students are covered under a separate plan through the York University Graduate Students’ Association (YUGSA), and we bill that plan the same way.

For treatments beyond routine care, your plan may cover part of the cost. Ask our front desk for an estimate based on your student plan coverage before you start.
Coverage limits and opt-out deadlines change each academic year, so confirm your current benefits at yfs.ca before you book.
Regular cleanings are one of the simplest ways to keep your teeth and gums in good shape. Our hygienists remove plaque and tartar, and they check for early signs of gum disease or decay. It is a quick visit that prevents bigger problems later.
